NFL Week 5 Results & Week 6 Picks

Spring and The Prince Results & Picks

Let’s start with the Week 6 Picks:
This week the Prince didn’t seem to stick with his “the bigger animal will win” strategy. He’s going with his gut feeling. And he made his picks before I made mine, so this is going to be interesting, since I know he’s not really up on who is who in the NFL. He’s 9, but he’s also a science/computer geek. Still he’s a pretty smart kid, so we’ll have to see how his intuition holds up.

Now for me, I think the best game of the week is going to be the Giants and 49’ers. It’s only my perspective, but I don’t think it’s a clear win for either side. I do think San Francisco is coming up to their peak, where as the Giants are on the other side of the mountain and we’ll see them in a rebuilding year soon enough. So I’m going with the 49’ers.

The other game of interest I think will be the Cowboys at the Ravens. I grew up on the Redskins, so my favorite teams are the Skins and who ever plays Dallas. But even with my warped perspective I think Dallas is overrated and the Ravens are underrated. So I’m counting on the Ravens to win. On that note, I’d like to pick my Skins to win; but I don’t think they have a chance against Minnesota. We’ll see though. I wouldn’t mind being wrong there.

So our picks for Week 6:

Week 5 Results:
I ended the week with an 8 wins and 6 loss record. Where the 9 year old prince came in with the opposite result of 6 wins and 8 losses.

We don’t really want to go over last weeks results, but I guess we have to. In reality it probably wasn’t as bad as I think it seems. Compared to some of the commentators who really should know how to pick the winners, I’m winning the prognostication battle. But come on, how did Miami beat Cincinnati? Though I must admit, I am glad the Saints won their game against the Chargers. Seeing Drew Brees break another long standing record was exciting and it was fitting that New Orleans would top that accomplishment off with a win for their quarterback. It was truly awesome.
